ABOUT US
Come as you are.
There is space for you here.
Umoja is a sanctuary of harmony and aliveness.
Rooted in the rhythm of Tanzania, it’s a place where people gather to rest, reconnect, and remember their belonging to Life.
Here, healing is not a chase; it’s a return.
It lives in the breath that moves through us, in the beat of drums, in the laughter between friends, in the quiet moments that open the heart.
Umoja is for everyone; a space to explore what wellness means to you.
Whether through movement or stillness, sound or silence, art or reflection, each person finds their own language of balance and vitality.
Through creativity, community, and presence, we awaken the body’s wisdom and the spirit’s joy.
We grow, we learn, we express. Together.
Our name means unity in Swahili.
Unity with self, with one another, and with the living world that holds us all.
Come as you are.
Breathe. Move. Belong.
#BeUmoja

Grounded. Open. Fully alive.
A space to breathe, soften, and come back to yourself.

Our story.
Umoja was born from a dream, a spark that lit up when we, Pragna and Leila, met in Tanzania.
We saw a shared need: people looking for healing but not knowing where to find it; practitioners ready to serve but lacking a welcoming space.
The first answer was a series of beloved wellness fairs, full of joy, community, and connection. The next step came naturally: to build a permanent sanctuary.
A calm and beautiful space where healing could unfold daily, not just occasionally.
Where therapy, art, rest and movement meet.
Where everyone is welcome, just as they are.
We bring with us different paths; Pragna’s journey through ancient Eastern therapies and deep bodywork; Leila’s experience in somatic healing, sacred ritual, and creative embodiment.
What unites us is a shared belief: that healing happens when we feel safe, seen, and connected.
Umoja is our way of offering that space to others.
A space of care.
At Umoja, giving is an act of generosity and unity. Every contribution helps us grow a culture of care, connection, and shared wellbeing.
